, Pollok Park

Visit the reconstructed trenches to find out how people experienced Christmas during WWI, at home and on the front lines – from soldiers’ censored post to wartime Christmas cards and Princess Mary tins. Learn about the pocket teddy bears that soldiers carried and the cards people sent – and make your own.

Please join us at 4 p.m. for a short, candlelit Christmas service led by the Reverend Stuart MacQuarrie, Chaplain of the University of Glasgow, with singing led by Brianna Robertson-Kirkland.
