Welcome to our new website, where we would like to share news and information about our own and other WW1 projects. We hope you enjoy browsing our website – the gallery of excavations on the Western Front is interesting archaeology, but it is also a poignant reminder of the humanity of those who fought, lived and often died in the trenches.
But we haven’t finished yet. Over the lifetime of the project we will be adding much more to the site: learning packs, more features – already in the pipeline is the story of Glasgow peace movement and anti-war protests – and guest blogs from people sharing their research and stories of commemoration and remembrance. So please keep visiting and if you have a story or project you would like us to share, get in touch.
In other news, the programme of events and talks for our opening day on the 19th and 20th of September is now up on our events page so please join us on the 19th and 20th of September.
