Digging In is open for regular events and drop-in visits on two to three days each month.
We also welcome bookings for school and youth club visits. Send us a message to book a visit for your class or club.
If you’d like to drop by and see the trenches, attend one of our regular themed events or help out as a volunteer, please visit our EVENTS page to find out when Digging In will be open. (We aren’t able to leave the trenches open all the time due to health and safety regulations, and during the week they are often in use for school visits.)
How to find Digging In
The trenches are in the eastern part of Pollok Country Park in Glasgow – G43 1AT. They are a 10-15 minute walk from both Shawlands and Pollokshaws West railway stations.
If you’re arriving by car, park at the lower end of the Burrell Collection car park (near the play park). At the end of the car park beyond the green portacabin, you’ll see a Digging In display board on the grass. The trenches are through the trees ahead of you, across the driveway, less than a minute’s walk away.
The main entrance into the enclosure is on the right-hand side of the driveway that leads out of the park towards Haggs Road.
